In Search of the Castaways is the first novel in a trilogy by the French writer Jules Verne. The novel was published in the Education and Entertainment Magazine from 1867 to 1868. The trilogy was followed by the novels Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas and The Mysterious Island. There are three parts in the novel. The main characters Lord and Lady Glenarvan, Major McNabbs, Jacques Paganel, Mary and Robert Grant, and John Mangles are on a trip around the world in search of Captain Grant sticking to the 37th parallel south.
